At the Glenroy Road Clinic, we have a strong family focus to our patient care. We aim to provide comprehensive and ongoing care for all members of the family. From time to time, you may receive correspondence from the clinic to advise you of Government health promotions such as Men’s and Women’s Health checks, the 4 Year Old Healthy Kids Check and the Annual Health Assessment for people who are 70 years and over. Participation in such assessments is highly recommended by your general practitioner but not compulsory.
We also have a child immunisation service which is further detailed in the Vaccinations and Immunisations section.
4 Year Old Healthy Kids Check
Prior to or in conjunction with your child’s 4 year old immunisation, you should make an appointment with the immunisation nurse to undergo the Healthy Kids Check. The purpose of the Healthy Kids Check is to ensure that every four year old in Australia has a basic health assessment to see if they are healthy, fit and ready to learn when they start school.
The Healthy Kids Check involves a 30-minute consultation with the child and their parent in order to collect, update and assess information regarding family and environmental factors, medical and social history and lifestyle risk factors. Where appropriate, the immunisation nurse may refer the child to their regular doctor or other health professionals if medical interventions or investigations are required.
Please contact reception for more information or to make an appointment.
